Welp, this is it. G2 Bionicle has officially ended... I mean, yeah, I saw its end coming, but I didn't think it'd end so early! I'm honestly really sad about this because I was just getting more curious about the world. Like, I believe it was said during the show, that the forge was built on a temple of light? Well, was that going to be a thing if they continued for one more year? Like, bringing back a toa of light from the dead or having the spirit of light create a new toa, like Takua? I wanted more, Lego! All I can do now is sigh though. But, I'm super glad that Bionicle came back, it gave me a chance to relive old memories and actually get to buy my first Bionicle sets. We also got a netflix show out of that, so I'm pretty satisfied with that too. Gah, man, it just seemed short lived, I actually really liked Okoto and they probably could've done more with it. Maybe I should write a short story for what they could've done for 2017. I don't know. Thank you Lego for bringing back this line, even though you're cancelling it earlier than expected. It brought back many memories and new stories and heroes, I wish it could've lasted longer. Bionicle will still be a nostalgic favorite of mine! Hope you guys enjoy and have a nice day!P.S. cool, I also imagine takua as the toa of light in my idea of the reboots continued story, though I call him taka, and he also has agil with him

We all wanted it to last forever. I think that Takanuva looks like Genai from Digimon Adventure, giving him a real badass feel to him!

It'll take me a while to get over this to be honest. I never got to be part of G1 so I was ready to go the whole way with G2. Then Lego cuts it short. It was like climbing tens of flights of stairs just to come crashing down back to bottom. This had so much potential. And I even thought Lego would try connecting it somehow to G1. But my dreams for Bionicle have been crushed. Yet not extinguished. Like Ekimu said "Light brings vision." Hope is light, and I see ahead a positive future, for Bionicle or not. But it's up to us to keep it alive for as long as we can. "Legend will carry you thousands of miles"

I know, it's a bummer. I thought that Bionicle G2 had a 4 or 5 year franchise shelf life.

I'm getting emotional again about bonkle ending.
I never got to enjoy G1 until it was already over- G2 means so much more to me for that. It ended so quickly! In one day! My opinion originally about G2 was that the main story wasn't as good, but the under explored lore of the island was great, with bright culture, and beings who's fate and existence weren't decided upon or planned by creators. BUT, the second half of JtO got me loving the Toa and main plot.
returning to the subject, I marvel at your work. I wish I could learn from you as well. However, does this double as a humanized Toa Ekimu as well? Because of agil. and just... mmmm, that kind of bright glow you put on all these!

G1 Bionicle will always be the best: better narrative, settings, mythos, and characters.
Although, G2 Bionicle set pieces are much more durable.

very impressive! it was indeed sad to hear about G2 ending, but it did kinda feel like an awkward blend of fanservice and poor scriptwriting

Honestly, I feel like this is probably for the best. I did like G2 Bionicle, but it always seemed to be caught between appealing to nostalgia of the original series, and creating its own identity as a new story. I would love for LEGO to make a new series that carries similar themes, aesthetics and general "feeling" to the original Bionicle, but as a spiritual successor with a new IP instead of a reboot using the same names, because I think branding it as "Bionicle 2" actually held this series back.
I do hope LEGO keeps using the constraction system, because it's a very versatile building system and I suspect they've still only scratched the surface of what it can do. I would especially like to see more use of constraction pieces in brick-based builds, and vice versa.
On the other hand, thinking about all the amazing landscapes and structures shown in the animations and the show, does anyone else kinda wish Bionicle G2 had been a bricks-and-minifigs series? It would have required some changes to the character designs, but I think it could have been really cool.

Well said, Ani... I'd love to see a story by you that continues the story, somehow. It was super cool to see Bionicle come back, as short as it was! And omgggg Takanuva looks so majestic and knightly! He looks like a paladin, and somehow, that look is just too fitting for him. Lovely tribute!

I'm bothered that we won't be getting the mold for the Mask of Ultimate Power
the collector in me really wanted to complete the trifecta of fancy masks.

It might be best that the fans keep Bionicle alive and not industry. Its a shame that they didn't crank out a few more episodes, I would of liked to see the return of the Toa of Light. Great piece of work though it does the toa of light justice!

Another Bionicle line canceled without a proper conclusion. Whether or not it will return is uncertain, but it looks to be highly unlikely. (But who knows? Space Police returned for a third line.) I have a feeling Lego's got a new CCBS line in the works and want to release it, and I'm interested in seeing what they have in store. I've always liked the contraction system, even if I ignored Hero Factory. But until then, we have other Lego lines to keep us occupied. The new Nexo Knights sets are just around the corner, and I have a feeling a certain Technic Bucket Wheel Excavator will find its way into my hands soon. All in all, while it's sad that Bionicle is now officially over, it's not the end of the world. Time to move on and see what else Lego has in store for us.
