woooah, this is amazing! 8D awesome! You're really getting good at painting <3.
If you want a critique, then all I can really say is just try to push those lights and darks a little more, considering the darkish background, there should be a few reallyΒ dark spots of tone where the light of the fire doesn't reach. As well with the metal, maybe look at a few pictures of how light shines on it, you shaded it really well, just not quite like what metal would look like owo the metal would reflect the light in a way that it would create lots of bright spots of reflective light, like on the eye.
Overall though I think this is awesome XD as I said before all I can really sayΒ is to justΒ push those lights and darks a little moreΒ owo I think you'd be surprised at how much of a difference it can make

Yeah, I didn't shade very realistically I was just getting my head around the painting part

No worries <3 haha and I understand X3 What I do if I'm about to try something I'm not sure of in the painting (and I'm doing it all in ine layer) I copy and paste that whole layer, and then hide it owo that way I have a quick back up if I've done something I don't like, and a way to compare the two of which i like better.

I know it doesnt, but changing designs helps me connect with my characters. His old design didn't match his story. And this one is a lot more fun and interesting to draw.Β
