Notes: I miss the Demon Diary series...! Who here remember this Manhwa? I've always felt unsatisfied with the lack of resolution for Chris. It seemed like it would have an important conclusion, but his backstory never really played a part in the series. Boo :\ SoooOOooo, have some fanart instead!

About Demon Diary: In the world of Demon Diary, demons and gods do battle on a regular basis and co-exist with humans. This particular Korean Manhwa (drawn by KARA) focuses on the brilliantly air-headed Raenef the Fifth as he tries to take up the mantle of Demon Lord passed down from his predecessors, while under the tutelage of his loyal, noble, most patient, and incredibly high-leveled demon servant Eclipse. Raenef also has the fortunate talent for making friends out of people seeking to destroy him – including a young cleric named Chris, training as the next High Cleric, and a self-proclaimed supergenius.

Normally good-hearted if a little annoying, Chris was raised by the current High Cleric at the Temple of Rased. He has no memory of his early childhood as the only survivor of a demon attack on his town... and so he grew up into a brat with a loud mouth, very little tact, and a subconscious hate-on for demons. To teach him some humility, and as punishment for attacking Raenef despite a non-aggression treaty, the High Cleric kicked him out to live with the demons for a while. Chris spends his days loafing, training, bickering with others, being kicked around by the local swords-woman, and becoming quite fond of the gentle demon lord. Occasional fourth-wall breaking included.

Random tidbit: Kara's next series, ANGEL DIARY (lol), apparently takes place in the same universe. I wonder if I should ever hope for character cross-overs? Hmm.
