Description
Fanart of Oriya from the series Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness).
He's not very happy with Muraki.
Oriya runs a posh brothel called the Kokakurou that is disguised as a high-class restaurant, and caters to important officials.
Muraki, a close childhood friend, is an insane doctor with murder as his hobbie. o.O
Together they fight crime -- ! Lies... actually Muraki comes to Oriya when he needs favors in covering up crimes.
And free dinners, that mooch.BAD, NO BISCUIT.

w00t, tis an Oriya! I luff Oriya... I didn't realize just how much until I saw the anime, and found myself disappointed by how little he showed up. They cut out the part of the scene between Muraki and Tsuzuki that took place in Kokakuro where Oriya jumped in and kicked Muraki. The anime also shortens the scene in the graveyard full of stillborn children; it isn't even mentioned that the kids are stillborn! (Ach, I'm ranting aren't I? I'm supposed to be talking about your peice, not the things that frustrated me in the YnM anime.)
But, yeah back to your peice.... I like Oriya's expression, it seems irked, and yet, at teh same time, pleased. He looks so soft and nice...

Now this is some very good fanart of Oriya, probably one of the best ones I've seen on DA! I really like the shade of colors and the "unnecessary" space above him, it makes it have more power. Oriya looks wonderful; great work!

Yeah. Do you outline on the computer? Because that would be generally easier layer-wise. And yeah, step-by-step. With screen shots. Like this !

- Draw rough sketch on one layer, in a light color.
- Then redraw on a new layer.
