A cluttered bit of drawing that I like too much to drop into the Scraps bin. My old flame: Yami no Matsuei. Tatsumi and Watari. (And 003!) I've had a resurgence in my obsession over this series. It took up a major part of my developing fandom lifeline and early fanart progression. It feels like moving back into a house I thought I left behind, but still love. I just wish that the Mangaka would continue the series... it's been several good long years since the last storyline chapter.I may refine it and color in the future - but not this week. This week, I am headed to the land-to-the-south, known as Iowa for the anime convention this weekend. I may or may not be at a table, but I'll be donning my usual Red Jazz Heartless fare, plus a Beni Bara fan-shirt a la Zuka Club.

Oh update for you I heard at Katsucon 2010 that Matsushita should be coming out with a volume 12 by the end of this year but they won't have the side notes like before and it'll be cleaner around the headers and such so no more side talking like it used to be

I know, but sometimes comic artists get burn-out, and I think Matsushita got it really, really bad.

How rare to see YnM artwork on DA! It's feels so weird - I haven't read those books in ages. In fact, those were the one who got me hooked on shounen-ai to start with... Ah, such a long time ago!

I thought it was off hiatus? Do you know what volume the series was out to, I own up to volume 11 and nothing else has been released!*devastation* I can't deal with another Yukiru Sugisaki! It's just not fair!

YnM owns a verrrrrry special place in my heart as well. It was the reason I started in with the whole anime/manga/art scene. Before I was just drawing realism and animals, but YnM somehow made drawing people interesting. Its soooo pretty and its influences can still be seen in my art even years and years after being introduced to it.
And yes, for f*cks sake the mangaka needs to get it going again because I've been dying since reading volume 11 (unless I missed some later ones?)
