This was commissioned byThis is his original character, Rowina, who is clearly spider wo-woman...no, spider lady? Arachnid humanoid. There. She is made out of polymer clay, with a wire, foil, and mash skeleton, real doll hair, and a handmade geisha umbrella. We really enjoyed doing this one. If anyone is interested in commissions, please message me. My friend was very pleased with how this turned out. I especially like the spider eyes and fangs. Well, and the belly.Β

Don't fucking mention that holiday to me, you'll give me war flashbacks. December 23rd, 2016, I puked like 5 times at work just because the lines were so long and I had to run the front end alone while my partner in crime that night had to run electronics alone. 3 rookie cashiers for her, 10 for me, but thankfully my assistant manager let me go home and get a shower and return lmao. Worst day I ever worked at Toys R Us. Except maybe December 7th 2017, where I almost legit had a seizure. I was shaking so hard and just bawling. I remember why too, I had a customer who bought, and I kid you the fuck not, like 1,000 dollars in Disney World gift cards (whatever those are) and then bought like 500 in toys and the cashier didn't put the rewards card on. Now, normally, I would void it and make the cashier redo it for being retarded and forgetting but I couldn't because of the gift cards. The customer demanded it get redone, so the option was return the toys and re-ring them (since gift cards don't count anyways) or void the transaction, destroy the cards, call corporate and explain why I did it, and get 1,000 more in gift cards. Asset protection called and demanded to speak with me before I EVEN got done slicing up the cards. They were ok with it but holy shit. I remember sitting in the camera room, cutting them up after the phone call, shaking like I had Parkinson's. For the record, that was like 4 hours into my 10 hour shift.Β

I didn't understand those gift cards then. I do not understand them now. And they were bought by a grandma, at least in her 60s. However, my current job isn't great either. I deal with more old people and they are fucking miserable, especially the old men. I mean miserable. One thing that triggers me, like the proverbial, meme version of "triggered!!!" is when someone can't follow social protocol. Here's the common example, "Hello sir, how are you?" and he just sets his book down and doesn't even say a fucking thing. I want Tiger Uppercut those people on the spot. That is not ok. I rarely encountered that at Toys R Us, I encounter it fucking daily, sometimes more than once, at my new job.Β

I had one old ass grandma tell me I was a bad person becouse or prices where to high & I was like listen lady I dont choose the prices my bosses do so if you wanna yell at anyone & tell them they are a bad human being hit up my higher ups! >:0

In 5 years of Toys R Us, I only had one lady tell me that I, we, the employees, set the prices too high. It was actually really funny, my buddy was on like week 3, he was ready to ring register alone, so my assistant manager and I were putting together a 3DS display and doing the wiring and everything, when we heard this like "Let me speak with your manager" type woman in every sense of the world, was giving my buddy shit. We could hear her from the electronics area, my manager and I just both leaned out and he was like "Fuck, I will take care of this." And I followed, cuz I wanted to see this in action. She was telling us that we set the Lego prices too high and that we should honor Lego's website's price, even though it explicitly says we REFUSE that. The list of acceptable price matches were written for people to see! God dammit, fucking people.Β
Old people at work, old men specifically, are the worst. I have this Russian dude who drives me up a wall, he noticed I can almost say his name, which he says no one can, and he also says it's weird to find someone who can understand his accent. I don't think he realizes I'm Russian Orthodox and used to it. I get the feeling, and I get this a lot, that he thinks I'm some white privilege Irish fuck cuz I'm a ginger... Bitch, I'm Italian, 1 grandmother was an Irish immigrant, 3 other grandparents were Italian, God dammit! Then there's this family...everyone is pretty sure the old husband beats the shit outta the old wife cuz she always has "I fell down some stairs" or "I walked into a door" look.Β

Though, I don't miss this one lady, super rich, used to buy her kid everything but the second he disobeyed her, she would start wailing on him in public. Like, I straight up think he pissed himself a few times in my store just from his mom gesturing a backhand. I also had a dude pop his kid in the mouth for swearing. Idk how either wrongs there are righted but whatever. Only time I ever had to intervene was we had a thief, he got caught, he wouldn't leave, he started mouthing off, an old grandpa (a regular of mine), grabbed the dude, dragged him out front and started socking him in the face, I had to break it up and call the cops. Kid ran away super fast.Β
Oh and one time a dude stole a cart full of toys from us, threw them in his car, rushed out of our parking lot, NAILED another car, totaled his and the police nailed him, he literally wasn't even out of our parking lot more than 5 feet. I miss that shit. My current work, however, asked me to take more hours and I can't. I can't. Like, I almost had a seizure last year. I can remember the day before I quit last Christmas, I was supposed to leave at 12am. I was counting money till 12:30, crying cuz I had been there since 2pm. I had to come in early cuz my bestie quit because she was sick of our supervisors fucking each other (that's not a euphemism). So I took her shift, plus mine. I didn't leave till 2am because I then had to correct a layaway that my punks in electronics fucked up. My assistant manager straight up was like "you need to go home, you are not well."Β
Then I quit, then the general manager contacted me, told me she wasn't going to accept my quitting and instead used 2 weeks of my vacation pay and told me to come back by the 20th. Which I did.Β
I find myself not caring about my new job, like at all, like, I couldn't care less. A coworker who made an enemy of me real fast, she told me to refill bags at the register. An easy task and she asked it real nice, like she doesn't even know I hate her to death, but the second she walked away, I put 0 of those bags up. That's not my problem. I have taken the "someone else will do it" approach because unlike Toys R Us, whatever goes wrong at this place, doesn't bother me at all. I can walk away from the store if its on fire. I am not loyal, nor invested in it. I was a hereditary employee, my dad worked for Toys R Us, one of my coworkers was hereditary as well. Two of my supervisors, their sons worked there before moving onto college and shit like that. I want my fucking job back, God dammit. I straight up dreamed about it last night dude. I know how I could do it, do my Friday-Saturday-Sundays, come in to close, 8 hour shifts, I could stay for late and pull more hours for night crew on Sundays, leave at like 3am. On days I don't have to paint or sculpt, I can call the gang and be like "I will come in and work for at least 4 hours, but when I'm done, I'm done." When I came back by December 20th, my manager gave me her punch override and told me to hold onto it and use it when I want to come and go and do my lunch. *Sigh*
All that money so fucking gone now.Β
