nice sketches ruku. i like the one near right. the one with his arms crossed. the face mask looks a lil funny on the guy with the hood though. a lil reference and research might help.

Oh man, now that I can actually get a clear view of it I can give it a full and proper critique.
When I originally envisioned the assassin, I pictured him as being very gruff and unkempt. In a way I can see that aspect in the design here, and I like it.
I had originally anticipated him as being more grim looking, but I think that your drawings of him here portray him in a way I'd much rather go with; lighter colors and hair to give him more energy rather than just a stagnant or cynical presence.
The mask is an incredible addition and I think it'll see some tweaking before the final version. (Some additions and subtractions to make it truly terrifying but feasible) I love that part of the drawing, I keep smiling as I look at it.
As I look at the colored section of drawing I notice his body armor and realize that it's an excellent addition that I want to keep. (Maybe not body armor as a thick layer of clothing; regardless of what it is, we're going to find an aspect of it that fits into the design of nineteen-ten-esque technology)
So I'm thinking after looking at this...The center design with his arm folded stands out to me as being perhaps the best. But as bad as I feel about this, there's one thing I would change:
I would keep all aspects of the face and body itself, as well as the belt, attachments and pants beneath. But I would lose the upper body clothing and replace it with a long vest like the design to the left or a muffler/scarf garment like the one above it.
Your thoughts, Ruku? I feel like I'm blathering on, and really want to hear what was going through your mind as you drew it and what your thoughts are now.

Not blathering on bro! Feedback is what i'm looking for here; The mask was inspired by Loki of Ragnarok fame though (points that out quickly) But what i was thinking when i did this; I was trying to come up with a char who, under normal cirucumstances didn't emit the whole i'm an -assassin- look- at- me- brood kinda aura, but at the same time he still seemed as though he could pass as one. Also, i remembered you saying that he and the Earthmage would argue alot, hense i didn't wanna make him looking too scruffy looking y'know? However, I wanted to show a sketch of his eyes become really narrow when he went into assassin mode...
So you like the middle sketch eh? Fair enough; what i'm going to do is combine the costumes of the colored sketch with the face of the middle sketch and see how it works out; That should probably be the deviation after the next ( The one i'm about to post is me elaborating on the colored sketch.)

More than liked it, loved it! You have to keep in mind that I'm not a talented artist, that I don't have a good eye for what works and what doesn't. So if there's something you feel would work better visually, or is better than what I'm suggesting, please feel free to note or draw it.

Ruku, I wish I could comment on this, but...I can't see it.
It might be that my screen resolution is too high, but the image comes in as too small for me to properly study it or look over the character.
