This is great! I really like the technology in the eyes!
I have yet to read the book (or see the movie, which I gather from previous comments by you, is nothing like the book anyway).

thanks
if you like science-fiction the book (or books -- he wrote several on the theme) is a must read -- IMHO it is one of the greats of sci-fi by one of the genre's greatest writers
from the trailers I've seen it didn't look like they did much other than use his title and talk about the three 'Laws of Robotics'
I'm still sorta up in the air about seeing it tho' several people have said they liked the movie

Wow, that's creepy...in a very cool kind of way.
I liked the movie a lot! Just keep in mind there is a big huge disclaimer that says it's only "inspired by" the stories, not meant to be "based on" it, so they basically just borrowed the 3 Laws and then ran from there.

thanks
I looked up the info for the movie on IMDB and they said that it was 'suggested' by Asimov's story
that line always has red flags waving in my mind 'cuz it usually means the movie will resemble the tale in name only
although I've had a couple other of my watchers say it didn't diverge as much as they were afraid it would -- I'm still kinda up in the air about seeing it tho'

But you did not like the movie.
I've seen mixed reviews, some liked it, some really did not.

haven't seen it yet -- we're short on funds for several months so we have to be circumspect in our choice of movies
we did see 'Spiderman 2' and both of us really liked it

Oh, i thought you wrote somewhere that it didn't follow the intent of the book so were disappointed. Or is that what you heard so don't plan to see it?

yeh, I wrote that in one of my journals
that I wasn't going to see it based on what I saw in the trailers, but a couple of people said they'd seen it and liked it and that it wasn't what the trailers made it out to be
so I'm sorta up in the air about it now
