Description
Not nearly as pleased with this guy... Not even sure what to call him yet. There are quite a few mistakes that I can see, so I'll probably just redraw the whole picture. But I figured I would post it up here for critique and to show my progress.
The power I had in mind for this character, is that he can shoot energy bullets from the tips of his fingers. He makes the shape of a gun with his hands, and fires away.
I thought he might think of himself as a modern cowboy, so I gave him a duster, boots, and a hat. But I don't really like the look so much, so I think his outfit will be overhauled.

Alright, let's do this.
I like the overall pose of the character. He seems like the type who could remain calm even in the most dire of situations, and the way he blows the smoke from his finger suggests he holds skill and efficiency with his powers. With the hat obscuring the eyes, I can't tell if it's a cold efficiency or something else, but for some reason, that's what I want to say it is. A scary thing, really.
The 'modern cowboy' idea seems rather interesting to me. I definitely like his hat, very enigmatic, though I'm not sure if you're going for that or not, but I'm not all that sure about his duster. Maybe it's the cuffs; they seem a little too big. The boots are nice as well, but something seems a little off about them, too. That one, however, might be me, as I haven't seen a pair of boots in about a year and a half. I remember boots being a bit more tighter around the shin than his, though, but hey, maybe cowboy boots are different than normal boots, I really don't know. (Just throwing this out for some chatter about the sketch; won't bother me if you re-haul this guy and put him in a tutu. Well, actually, I'll question your sanity, but other than that...)
His left leg seems a liiiittle short. Obvious, but I thought I'd throw it out there for S and G's.
Woohoo! I did it!
Also, if you ever get tired of my doing this , tell me and I'll just put one of my common half... thought-out comments instead.

Hahaha no, I agree with you here. The duster definitely looked off to me, and I've redrawn a few sketches of him to try and fix it, so far, no avail...
Also, I thought something was wrong with his boots but couldn't place it...
And yes, sadly the left leg was short lol.
Though, we have determined a little more info about this character since I drew this a while back. We decided to pick one of our heroes, and focus on them. Our cowboy here got the luck of the draw. He is going to be a modern day cowboy vigilante type character. We want him to have a personality that feels that the "law" isn't doing its job, so he feels he needs to step in and do it for them.
We also wanted to give him a few gadgets or tools. For one, his boots will have spurs on them even though he doesn't ride a horse. We've thought about giving him either a motorcycle or a classic muscle car instead. We've also toyed with giving him a grappling hook to help him get to higher places in the city.
I need to get my other pictures scanned on here! But my computers are having trouble communicating... so my scanner isn't working at the moment
I'll try to work on it tonight, and see what I can get posted. Let me know what you think of our idea so far

Hm, pesky thing. I personally think it's somewhere in the arm area that's bugging me about it; in all pictures of dusters I've seen (which, granted, isn't many) they are kind of tight around the arms and the cuffs aren't as prominent. An example of a duster I saw is this.
Yeah, the boots. Haven't the foggiest about them, but it kinda bugs me, too.
Ah, I see, the luck of the draw. I would love to see the personality development of this character. Beyond the obvious vigilante type, I mean. How far do you plan to go into his personality?
Hmmmm, spuuuuurs. Sounds classy. But that might be what the boots need! Brilliant!
I personally think a motorcycle makes sense, all things considered. For instance, an Old West cowboy could quickly hop on his horse to... go where ever it was he wanted/needed to go. I don't ride a motorcycle myself, but I imagine it would be faster to start a motorcycle than a car. Plus he could then weave through traffic if necessary. (Which, depending on your setting, can be perfectly legal so no cop could really stop him for it. ) Just throwing that out there.
A grappling hook sounds like it would be very interesting. Toy away I say, mostly because I honestly can't figure out what to say to that.
Aw, pity about your scanner. I can relate; our scanner's out of commission as well. (We, however, can blame this on my uncle.)
I think your idea sounds like it's coming along nicely. You've got a character you're working hard on developing, and that's a very important piece, I believe. Yep, chugging along nicely. I don't know why, really, but I feel excited about this project of yours. I can't wait to hear more of what you guys are coming up with!

I've been working on a background for him for a while now and I have a couple good ideas, but just like you say of the sketch I feel it needs a "detail overhaul". I might have a name though.
Christopher Walter Slater A.K.A "Trigger Finger" What do you think?

Dude, sounds good to me. And we need to get together soon and work on this some more. I've been a little busy, I just got a new job and stuff and I'm going through training right now then my schedule is gonna change. But it looks like I'll have monday nights free for sure.

Sounds good to me. I've got a lot of idea, but I want to break em down first. Rather than start with an epic like watchmen I want one or two solid characters like The Batman or Ironman. That'd be easier and we can put all our focus into one at a time.

Lol I like it, but I think I need to go back and at least draw it better... It needs more detail or something, it just doesn't seem to sit right for me.
