A game such as you describe would be very neat indeed.
But you have to include the above ground ones too! How else am I supposed to stalk Gengars?
As for the image itself, it is very nicely done. The colour you've chosen for Starmie's highlights really gives the impression of being underwater.

I was actually gonna submit a bunch of these with different indepth descriptions. Gengar was going to be one! ^__^ He would totally stalk people by hiding in their shadows or in the shadows of rooms and kind of like stretch out from them and manifest freakily.
And of course Kakuna would be hanging in trees and Digletts tunnelling and Oddish burrowing to try and look like grass, and baby Pikachu scurrying across tree branches. All that good stuff. I want something interactive and immersive, where you really get to know the Pokemon and be in touch with the habitats. ^.^
Thanks so much by the way!! I'm glad the highlights were appreciated, I wanted to immerse Starmie but still be subtle. I should probably re-upload this in a bigger version.. but yeah, that's actual size. I dunno why I draw so small. Guess I'm used to working with limited space.

Like that ocean game whose name escapes me at the moment, but with Pokemon! A fictional wildlife safari. That would be fantastic.
You should draw bigger. You're definitely capable.
Also, draw that picture of Gengar.

Ooh this is so pretty. Starmie is the best water type IMO, period. So pretty @_@ And they can totally levitate in the anime which is the awesomest thing ever. Great work!

Dang. O__o; For it being so small, you sure pack a lot of detail into it. Now don't laugh...okay you can, but this somehow reminds me of that book most of us I'm sure are familiar with from elementary school--The Rainbow Fish. Just has that cool, calm and content, edgy vibe to it. Interesting to see Starmie taken under your wing.
Keep it up Rust dude.
