Description
possible character design for THE Bat-Maloy story which has been going around in my head for the past couple of years and only recently have certain major chunks fallen into place. Much steadier grounds to work from now... still lotsa details to work out, but maybe i'll have more neat friends helping out! and undoubted the drawings will improve before i actually draw the comics...what'choo think of this style compared to the others?

I like it. They look more like consenting adults, here.

keep it that way...once DC bought the rights, it went downhill quickly. also i think they hit their heyday quite well and as a society we have grown past Mad and await the next cultural 'eye-popper'... but then again it could just be the crappy writing and real advertisements as of late... yyeeecchh!

We have grown WAY past Mad. In fact, the next cultural "eye-popper" was The Simpsons, and that was in 1989.

i'll give you that, but then what is next now that the Simpsons, to most opinions, have grown flat... i don't think Family guy can have the longevity nor South Park... i base my criteria of how much i feel like i'm getting away with something by reading/viewing it...

Honestly, I don't think there has been anything quite as paradigm-shattering as Mad or the Simpsons for the last 15 years. There has been a lot of cool new stuff, but as far as parody/satire goes, we're still living in a Simpsons-shaped world. Ultimately, Family Guy and South Park are just very good riffs on the Simpsons formula. The Daily Show is perhaps the strongest new voice to emerge in recent times.

I really like this style, though if it were me I know drawing them in such high detail like this over and over again would be a big challenge, but I still like it alot.
