Carmex! It comes in a little yellow lidded tub about as big around as a 50 cent piece, and you should be able to buy in any Sav-on/CVS/Walgreens or whatever store. I find that is a very good moisturizer and if I use it on my nose before a major allergy attack it will stop my nose from getting crazy chapped and flakey. (A wonderfully attractive addition to the giant swollen eyeballs and runny nose, I know. But I try to not be overly glamerous during my allergy attacks. Poor guys just wouldn't stand a chance.) Maybe that will help with your Oregon crud.
I hate getting those little mouth sores because I'm always tempted to open my mouth really wide and split them. Gross huh? I have no idea why. But yes. I hope Carmex can help out.
I wonder if that's mata tea next to you...

BLASPHEMY! YERBA MATE WOULD NEVER HURT ME! IT LOVES ME SO!!!
uh...er.. i mean, thanks for the tip, if i see some of dat carmex stuff, i'll check it out... though i think it's getting better on it's own. i really am squeamish when it comes to balms and oils on my face, the texture kinda freaks me out and feels gross. like i'm oozing goop or something.
but that's why i'm a paranoid cartoonist, i'm a great source of material!
