Description there's a special pleasure and excitement about stumbling across an artist who's stuff strikes a particular and close chord with your own and then find out the artist has been around for over 50 years! last night i had the extreme pleasure of reading Jules Feiffer's Tantrum with a cool forward by Neil Gaiman, who ranked it as one of the most influential graphic novels in his life. And i can see why! his fervorous drawing pace and sharp wit made me fall in love immediately, lusting to seek out his other works.

for those who think they may have heard of him, you probably best know him for the art of The Phantom Tollbooth ...yeah, and if you've seen my other stuff, you'll understand quickly why i love his style...

power to the penwork!

I said it before, but the styles of your's and his drawings are eerily similar.

i'm ashamed to have a childhood that is devoid of that book, it seemed all the other kids read it... i dunno why i never did... i think i read enough roald dahl to make up for it though..heh. thanks for the comment!

Even though I'm no longer a child, I think I wouldn't mind re-reading that book. It was really interesting..

Now I'm gonna go to the library.
