i've been raven crazy for the past few days...maybe i'm seeing the image of my impending DOOM!!! in like a thousand years..pff i'm freaking immortal!still, ravens are neat and prolific here in portland!

This is really awesome! sorta reminds me of Ralph Steadman... but waaay darker.

i have a hard time distinguishing between ravens and crows. crows are neat because they come in murders which is my second favorite group name next to a crash of rhinos. darker than steadman? gadzooks! is such a thing possible? thanks man!

every day when I cycle from school to home I see a raven. They really are most fascinating creatures. The way you made the feathers is nice nice nice.

yeah i walked home from the grocery store a couple times recently and a raven was sitting and cawing at me from the same lightpost both times! i thought he was predicting my imminent death or something...it was kinda neat. thanks for the compliment!

Reminds me of Bill Strikerwitz or whatever his last name was... you know, the real sketchy, experimental comic artist from the eighties and nineties who worked on Daredevil and the Shadow, as well as inking for Batman and doing covers for the Question.

ah yes, bill sienkiewicz... yeah his stuff is neat-o...he had a decent run on the new mutants title for awhile, though i'm more of a fan of his solo projects or indy stuff...though i can't think of an example off the top of my head. i'm honored that my work reminded you of him! thanks!

I really like the really dark black and the different hues and shades of blue.
Very cool, and almost soothing in a way.
The raven on his shoulder is also very interesting looking, he has form, but at the same time, its very chaotic.

I really dig this guy! Maybe I'm biased because I love ravens too and blue is my favorite color, but I like the emotion you've put into this. Your sketchy style serves this scene quite well! The ravens head has a great profile!

thanks! yeah i had fun creating him... it started off being a self portrait but then i started to add the ink emo hair and decided to cover his eyes... the blue idea came from a devart search of inkworks and finding a guy who used blue water color with his characters and i thought that looked neat. the raven was an afterthought but i felt it neccesary when i noticed the dude's hair was kinda feathery.
perhaps i'll continue the bird motif once i finished what i'm being paid to do...
