Its like the Teen Team... Only... Not teen...
Pretty cool, though. I'm way behind on my Invincibles reading. In fact, I only have the first TPB. My local shop doesn't sell the book.

You may think it's a stupid question, but how in short time can I become real good comic artist. How do you think what is the best exercise and can you write me some of you're thoughts aboust comics, drawing, etc.

Wow. I can't believe no one answered yer question.
Becoming a good artist, especially in comics takes tons of practice. Draw everything, everyday. After that, draw what you ENJOY drawing.
Study your favorite artist or artists. Emulate in your sketchbook and repeat.
You'll see improvement on every page you draw.
I hope this helps.

I checked out yer page and I see your skills!
I just hate that on a site like this, big name guys rarely help out up and coming artists. Yer question was a realistic and simple one. I think you deserved an answer. I'm sorry it took 5 years to get one though
BUt at least you figured out what was needed for you to progress as an artist. It's awesome when it happens.
Are you self taught?
I am.

Great work. Personally I love Robot. Sassy robots are rad. I'm interested to see how the whole aging thing is handled with future Monster Girl as well.

Cool characters, art & design. They look like they're gonna rock Invincible's world.

I love the composition, man... though i think Mr Cabtree should tone down your outlines on the 2 characters at the back. That should create more depht to your amazing layout.

MAN I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THAT ISSUE! .....I can't wait to read any issue. You know all those books you buy at the shop and you keep hoping that 8 out of 10 will get better, well Invincible is number 1 the one I never have to worry about...and Hellboy (He's 2nd right now but don't tell Mignola).

I can't wait either! Whats up with Eve's hair!? Short 'do doesn't suit her i think. Looks older too. I suppose there's a story behind it all. Will DEF pick it up.

Yer killin me. Eve's hair aint the ONLY different thing in this pic. As you can see, everyone is older. Not just Eve's hair.

Do I need to keep typig how great your work is? No I don't but I doa nd will anyway . You have one of the best styles of illustration out there; it's so simple and subtle yet very clear and effective in storytelling. Great job Ryan-keep at it!

I think I just ordered... I think six comics online. They should be here any day now. Anyway, Bryce and I were two behind on Invincible and three behind on The Walking Dead. Holy crap, I thought I was goin to die.
This is gorgeous! It's funny but the first one I noticed looking older was Robot. I like his thicker neck and check. Dead sexxay. Eve is lookin hot! I love that outfit and her hair is so sassy. Knock-out? Is that her name? She's a hoot... er... okay, pun totally intended.
Love the compostion and of course Bill's colors are always perfect.

RyanOttley In reply to y2jenn [2005-12-15 17:56:35 +0000 UTC]
Thanks Jenn! Robot is sexy?! ok. And yes, Eve's gotta be hot, even in her 40's.

Cripes. Typos are fun!
I meant "thicker chest" not check. Sigh.

I was going to say that Eve's hair is shorter but so not going to do that now!
You're also awesome, you and Crabtree. He's got some really really great color palettes, in basically everything he does. And well, you're just Wya. Wya is cool.

hahaha!!!! I love monster girl in an Olympic outfit!!!!
I guess in this (alternate) future the robot did not betray them, or maybe they forgave him for it... And the absence of rexplode frightens me.
Do I still need to say it's amazingly illustrated? I think we all know this. Keep up the good work.
Also, I hate fake boobs girl. kill her off.

RyanOttley In reply to yuoma [2005-12-15 16:30:25 +0000 UTC]
Knock-out rocks! Sure she has fake boobs but she is cool! And where did you read Robot betrayed anyone?!? You don't know that. There are many absent, Immortal, Rex Splode, DupliKate, Shrinking Ray, and Black Samson.
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
yuoma In reply to RyanOttley [2005-12-15 21:17:01 +0000 UTC]
Robot has been acting extra sneaky... extra, extra sneaky.
And I worry about Rex's absence because the immortal is immortal, so there's no need to worry about him. and with the exeption of dupliKate I guess, the other guys are on the same boat as knock-out

Are you drawing this issue? Cuz over at Image you said someone else is doing the interiors.
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
RyanOttley In reply to Andrewhuerta [2005-12-15 16:14:52 +0000 UTC]
No, someone thought Rathburn inked the cover. Cliff Rathburn is only inking interiors for issues 28 through 31. I worded it wrong at Image. I better change that.

Ah cool! Good luck man. Those pages you showed me were pretty sweet, I'm thinkin if it is refused, it's probably because of the story. Even though I havn't read it, I doubt they'd pass because of the art, it's cool stuff that's marketable.

Thanks. I'm not to worried cause the art REALLY jumps between issues 1 and 2, so I'm sure that will make the book look better. Either way I wont stop.
