Most people who know this weirdo just call her Gen, because it's easier to remember and easier to spell durrr. She's a happy-go lucky girl and tries to please everyone by making them laugh with jokes (which usually make fun of herself). People and social-stuff are her forte and she can't stand to be alone. Due to her eccentricity, people tend to think she's a little mental and talk-behind-her-back is quite frequent.
However, Genvieve is pretty innocent and naive when it comes to trusting her friends and stuff. She's not afraid to hide anything from others and is pretty honest with her conversations, but often faces the challenge of remembering what she's been told before. Being a little OCD doesn't help her case their either :/
You know, I've always wanted to make an obnoxiously bright and unnatural colored character before- AND HERE SHE IS. Perfectly coming along with that new 'sparkledog' trend. <______< It's been a little overdone and exaggerated in my opinion. BECAUSE I PREFER DESUDOGS >( loljk
uhh.. and my fingers are so c-cold

okay i've been ignoring this for a while but i think the way you construct your references is also a very similar way may constructs her references. i'm not saying may has copyrights to how a reference is arranged but i know you're trying to get away from the may shadow so i thought i could help with a little critique/advice?
the way may constructs her references are characteres as the main focus- information in a little box along with color in a little box- plus a chibi. there are a lot of people who do the chibi thing with their reference but the way you draw chibis are exactly the same as may draws them. for example: [link]
there are tons of ways to draw a chibi and mays is defiantly not the only way or a completely uncommon style, but seeing how you tend to revert back to may's style a ton in your art work, i'm thinking you picked up on the way may draws chibis and used it as your own, because you thought it was appealing. but when you're trying to get out of may's shadow i'd really suggest not ganking parts of things she does to do it on your own pictures.
as for overall layout of the references- they are so similar. everything may has done (which, we both know may's references were like this first) you have done as well. though may usually doesn't add chibi + full body of the character, that doesn't mean your reference is any different just because the character is a full body and not a head shot. with the color how it is, in the boxes matching the character's main color, its just so very very very similar to the way may does her layouts. again, not saying (c) TO MAY!!! but this is how people relate you to may.
i won't get onto you about the character, but to put it bluntly, your style looks so identical to may's here i had to take a double take. a lot of the times on your pictures (which is really odd because sometimes your pictures are so very much you and other times i have to do double takes) it looks like may is trying something different with her style and i hope you don't want that. its just a very, very slight difference right now between this picture and may's style. plus, the character is so much like one of may's characters it just...it just screams "may" to me.
