NOTE!! This is not my original concept. Even though it's a pretty well-known work of Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, I'm still putting that out there.

I'm doing a bunch of hour-long reference sketches from Der Mond to get a better feel for the NGE style; this is the first.

Also, none of these are traced, only freehand sketched. If I do any tracing, it'll be to get a better idea of how to draw details like eyes and stuff, but that won't be posted.
