Description
Hmmm... Study of the muscle structure of the back and arms... It's important do do some study every once in a while, no? I alwso wanna get past the "Your muscles look like DBZ bubble muscles!" Comments, lol. So time to start at the basics!I even went all homework-style on it and decided to list the appropiate muscle names on it
Used some Picture references. Random ones that came up with Google Image search
All done with .3mm Pencil.

he's still pretty buff! You're getting there. Just keep in mind that if one side if puffed up the other is stretched out.

-nodnod- That I will Muscles are just such a thing to work with! DBZ "bubble muscles", Marvel Comic Book Muscle-superhero, and Street Fighter Uber-overdone-crazy muscles. I know I wanna go a BIT further than jonny-no-muscle anime, but I doubt I wanna go as far as most fighting games... what an odd path.
And I hope you've been doing well lately I still remember our pixel trade... last time I tried to work on the body in pixels, I was so frustrated with how... bleh... it was coming out. It was experiences that that that made me wanna do this kinda study, even.

Nursing You know, being an artist and a nurse would be a fun juxstaposition, lol. Sounds like an oddbeat anime story. Stranger things have turned out interesting...
I apparently need to do more gesture studies.. I tried making a pose today that just came out... ech.

Nursing is the reason why I don't need to look up stuff tooo often. I know anatomy really well, it's just like I forget it or something when I draw. :/
Gestures are so fun especially if you are drawing a figure. It's really fun to just get a huge piece of paper and use your whole arm to draw something. Or maybe it's just me. Anyways, my poses always come out icky, so don't feel bad. You'll whip out awesome poses in the future.

Knowing something and actually getting it on paper are always very different things, eh? But the distance between what ya know and what ya art definately seems to be closing
And thanks for the vote of confidence! Those are always welcome

I preffer to draw the outlines of the body, not actual muscles. it has been a long time since I did a study like that, showing how muscles work and stuff. ugh...just thinking about it creeps me out. I hated anatomy class...

Ahhh yes, using outlines to define the area where things are, and then leaving the rest of it simply to values and color... I don't do that much, hehe. Though I think that might be a possible method for me that I eventually try.
Muscle is GOOD! Study (wince) Is GOOD! I wonder if I can find a female muscle chart now... all I found that day was males...

I guess the only structures of women guys generally think about is of a more fatty, bouncy nature... I wouldn't expect the medical community to be full of lechers and pervs, but maybe so!

lol, I usually figure that guys want to be doctors so that they get to look at neked women and not be concidered pervs.
I only think this 'cauze that's the reason that my brother wants to study medicine. which I frown upon!!! >
But I always have my weapon ready for the day that I meet a perverted doctor...

A Doctor's office is full of weapons to turn on the poor unsuspecting pervert...
You'd think Doctor's would have a non-pervy checker or something...

for the sake of humankind I hope so... otherwise my brother will become a doctor, and I shall never get a physical ever again!
my hope in doctors will be shattered if they allow pervs to join the medical staff. XD XD

No no, I know you didn't copy it. But it does look (very nicely) like pages from a few books I've seen. I figured you just freehand drew the image to look a bit like the page so you could teach yourself how to draw them. It's called 'teaching oneself to draw'. It's only 'copying' if you actually do take credit for it. And you obviously did not do so there.
