Found in the World of Reptiles, at the Bronx Zoo. Smaller and lighter-colored than its mainland counterpart, this boa is found in coastal scrubland and forests of Hog Island and Honduras, where its hunts small mammals and birds. This boa grows up to six feet long. Due to its distinctive features, however, this snake is unfortunately overharvested for the pet trade.
