so i've been playing a lot of ffrk, and Rydia is one of my favourite mages to use.I really like ff4 (although it's old and no one gives it much attention), and it has some of my favourite ff battle themes PEOPLE NEED TO GIVE THEM MORE LOVE INSTEAD OF FF6 GRAH. maybe i'm just weird
tried to do artgerm's style of unsaturated copic-ing but meh. was great at first until i did the bg then everything kinda went downhill from there. scanner also didnt pick up the colours as they are irl as usual. rawr.
also i'm really bad at dragon scales (or any scales for that matter herp derp)
still kinda like how she turned out, though i think i should just go back to my usual style ^^

This is my first time writing a critique to bare so with me! ^^
I really love the layout you used. The over lapping elements are really well place and attract the eye. The craftsman ship is also excellent, you have very clean strokes and crisp lines.The blending and shading also looks beautiful and organic. The proportions of the character look nice as well as the position. As for the colors you used, I really like the soft colors you used in the background. They are attractive but do not take away from the subject matter. In the character her self I feel like more variation of color might have added to the piece. Her skin is mostly shaded with more gray tones, making it look a little dead. Adding touches of pink to certain areas such as her cheeks and shoulders might give it a little more "life" experiment with adding the shadows to her skin, you might have not wanted red-tones in this drawing but I think some purple-toned shading or maroon might have looked nice. Hints of peach or yellow added in the lighter parts of her hair, in my thoughts would have also looked lovely.Over all excellent work!

yay for nostalgia and biasedness! it's one of the main reasons why people are so attached to certain games though. we all have our childhood favs
