You should never be embarrassed of what you do, practice helps us all. I took a cheap aluminum broom from the dollar store, measured it to 4 parts. I cut it into the parts, drew a stencil on card board with them as the frame(there not really more that a foot tall). I cut out the cardboard, placed foam inside for strength and then taped them together.
