Description CHAPTER 1

Trent Stewart, the man behind the information. Had been the one main reason that the small S.T.A.R.S. group was still alive. He sat in one of his many homes pondering about White Umbrella . The small affiliate that  really controlled Umbrella INC, and from what he could gather it was starting to lose patience at  the loss of its toys. If you consider huge mutinous flesh eating monsters or seemingly unstoppable creatures toys as they put it. Not counting the several creature production facilities that have been destroyed by the ex S.T.A.R.S. members. This had cost them many millions at the current moment and White Umbrella was getting no place fast.  Trent’s face started to fill with glee when he thought of this again, as he sat in his chair.  He sat quietly watching footage that had been pirated off a Rockfort Prison security camera, showing the battle that the Redfield girl and the boy Burnside had gone through to escape that island.
Trent sat, watching the countless videos of the events of the past several months. Months that have been filled with confusion and the seemingly close end of Umbrella.  He could  hardly believe that so soon he would see the crumble of such a great corporation.  A corporation that had killed his family, robbed him of a normal life, and forced him to work his whole life through deception to take down a great legacy.  Yet he thought, White Umbrella had starter to slip and the public was starting to become suspicious of what was going on.  Alerting the mind of those in power that Umbrella had yet to buy off  or blackmail.  He knew that the company would stay quiet for a time, lowering themself’s from the watchful eye of the public.  The thought of this gave Trent an Idea.  As he paced the room, he started to think that it might be worth his own good fortune to take some time to relax.  Actually it would be a great time to repay the rebel S.T.A.R.S. for all the hard work that it had done so far. A break that, to him, seemed much needed for the group, one he hoped might not be the last that they might ever get.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Leon, in a pair of his Police Academy sweats  sat in front of a computer inside a small, dimly lit room in the rear of and old gun shop  in London. A shop that  had been one of  the many cover fronts for the rebel S.T.A.R.S. in the past couple of weeks.  The place wasn’t that bad really; worn down and a old.  Leon thought to himself, that with a little paint it would be in a Better Homes magazine some day.  He sat staring into blankness of a small dimly lit laptop, thinking of the trouble that had happened in the past few month’s.  He had joined the small group after surviving the destruction of Raccoon and had escaped the city  with a young woman named Claire and girl named Sherry. Sherry was actually the daughter of the creators of the virus, the virus that killed all of Raccoon City.  The group wasn’t large to start with and yet they had dealt so much damage against Umbrella so far, damage that could be considered as penance for all the death that had been caused throughout White Umbrella.
Leon started to think back to when the group had attacked the main HQ of Umbrella and when Claire had been kidnaped in the process. Giving him a new twist of hatred against the company.  She had been taken to a prison colony off the cost of South America, Rockfort was its name thought Leon. Yet only to run into another spill of the T-Virus. She was later able to escape the Island with another prisoner name Steve, yet the auto pilot of the plane that she was on was overridden by some Umbrella nut. Claire’s brother Chris; managed to track her down to the arctic base that the plane was flown to and helped her escape.  Yet they left with heavy heart’s with the loss of Steve, the guy she had escaped with. A loss to the insanity of Umbrella and there thirst for power.  A unnecessary soul taken by the tyrant company.
Claire had returned earlier that week and looked as she had after the destruction of Raccoon City, pale and beaten..  Yet she tried to not let it show  through the joy she expressed back towards seeing her brother Chris  again. Yet he added to his thoughts, she did express a great deal of affection towards seeing  you as well Kennedy and it seemed to be a bit more than just friendship.  He had spent most of the end of the week taking care of her as she regained her strength and told her story.
She had slept through the past few day’s and missed the return of the rest of the group the day before. Rebecca, the ex S.T.A.R.S. medic looked her over and gave her a clean bill of health.  So as usual, Leon  stayed by her side and tended to all her needs. He was mostly there for support and reassurance that she was indeed safe for now. Calming here when waking from her nightmares. He sat in the room, watching, keeping guard, and making sure that nothing was going to happen at all.  But after a day or two of rest, she started to show signs of calming down and returning back to her normal or usual self.  A self that he had missed so much. As he snapped out of his daze, his mind reminded him to get back to work, and to continue tracking Umbrellas’s movement on the net. Doing so, he drew his attention back to the flickering screen and started away. But was unknowing of himself being watched. Claire walked down the stairs in a pair of blue jeans and a pink long sleeve shirt. She stood at the doorway of the backroom and quietly watched Leon fiddle around. Seeing that he was still tracking info on  Umbrella movements, giving her a good feeling because he was being so devoted to the group. Claire craned her head to get a better look and found that she still felt like a giant bruise. The part that hurt the worst still was the  neck where the Bandersnatch had grabbed her. The one that had picked her up back at Rockfort. Shuddering at the pain that had only been several day’s  ago. The pain that she had suffered and had been increased by the loss of Steve. Having met him on the Island, she later found that his family had been betrayed by Umbrella. She had also witnessed  Steve being forced to kill the zombie that once was father to save her. All because Umbrella wanted to have some fun and when you have as much money as they do, you get bored.  She had thought of the words that had been Steve’s last; I love you Claire, words that had been stuck in her mind the entire time back and yet still seemed to plague her. Riddling her with the emotions of sorrow and sadness.  Still standing quietly; looking at Leon, thinking of her feelings that were there for him, yet the thought of  Steve still came to her.
That was unimportant at the moment, because she needed to get the information that Leon was collecting back to the group leader David. As an ex S.T.A.R.S. captain, David Trapp had taken some form of lead in the group along with Barry, the ex Raccoon Alpha team weapons specialist.
“Barry Burton was the one who had helped Chris get back on track when he was kicked out of the Air Force about two years ago, right after Mom had died,” thought Claire.  Chris had tried his best to take care of her after the death of their parents, yet she had suspected that his removal from the Air Force was more than just his cocky attitude and more of his worrying for her own upraising.  Claire knew that Chris was trying his best and was glad that he was there for her now. “Just don’t leave me again please.”
Claire stepped forward towards Leon, gently tapping him on the shoulder. Hey there she said, any news for David? Leon snapped into reality when he realized that it was Claire and answered back. No said Leon, nothing more at the moment. It’s as thought there is no underground movement for White Umbrella at all on the net. I know Im not the best hacker, yet White UMB used to leave some tracks a while back and now there is none. It  somewhat make’s me worried, as though they were planning something. Oh well he said, all’s fine for now. Well if all is fine said Claire, then you can come have some lunch with me like you promised earlier today. Sure said Leon, actually what is for lunch he replied, and don’t tell me John is making his homemade Chile again? God, I never survived his last attempt at cooking. Well said Claire, he did come from a big family that love to cook and so what if they like to cook on the spicy side a little to much, he at least tries. That’s what I’ll be saying to you when your throat is burning away after sampling his cooking, Leon snapped back. I rather prefer a sandwich myself and with most of us here being cops in one way or other. There probably used to eating nothing but cold cereal and sandwich’s all the time. Yeah said Claire, I know Chris can’t cook, but I’m still hungry and you promised me lunch. Now do I have to slap you or are you going to be nice and come peacefully? I’ll come peacefully, said Leon.  Anyway, who’s all here at the shop he asked?  Anyway  said Claire, Rebecca and John are out purchasing  several weapons for the shop. Chris and Berry are running the Gun shop . Then I think Jill and David are upstairs in the apartment cleaning some equipment. Ok said Leon, I don’t think they will mind if we leave for a bite to eat. I’ll tell David before we go, to at least let him know where we are going, said Claire. That will give me time to change anyway, I must simply find something to wear besides these old blue jeans. Leon laughed, for Claire being a college age girl, she never really worried about fashion. Not to say that she had none, yet she never worried about it much.  He on the other hand did worry about a bit to much at times and even more so now that Claire was back. Well Im going to go change said Claire, you might want to go tell David now before he heads off to get the ammunition for the shop. Ok replied Leon, I need to go grab my wallet anyway. As Claire walked off, Leon remembered the computer and logged it off the net, putting it into sleep mode. Standing up from his siting position, he felt the need to stretch and stretch he did. He had been by the computer all morning long and he really needed a break.
Well maybe, just maybe he thought today would be a day to have some R and R.
