Description Chapter 2

Jill sat upstairs is the small kitchen cleaning her Beretta   92-R pistol. A pistol that reminded her so much of the past, past pain and sorrow. She continued to clean the pistol and came across the old symbol, STARS. Remembering  the time when he dad told her to get out of the life of crime, get a Police job, live a regular life. Yet the words seemed to be lost in her head as images of the Spencer Raccoon replaced them. So many lost, in so little time. The STARS team members that survived the Mansion were considered faulty, that the mansion blowing up was there our ignorant blunder. In a sense it was. Yet not for the purpose of blaintent destruction, yet it was an Umbrella fail safe the company had installed into the mansion for such accidents such as what happened. The STARS were under control and few were really loyal to the original cause of justice.
Yet no matter, the war with umbrella was soon to be over and they were definitely in the crossfire of the last battles. Yet this wasn’t the time to think of thoughts like this, she had a list of things to do and they were getting nowhere fastr with her daydreaming. Jill’s mind snapped back into focus and she  continued to clean the gun. She glanced over at David, the makeshift leader of the group. He had been an ex STARS captain for a long time, only to find that Umbrella had bought most of the top heads in the STARS leadership. It saddened her to see what the man had lost to join this cause. He had worked a while back with Barry Burton when they were both younger and he had risen to the ranks of captain. Yet those hard years of team leading had panned out for this rag tag group of rebels. He supplied them with the leadership that they needed.  Jill trained her vison over to the stairs as she herd the sound of footsteps coming up them. Slowly inserting the clip back into the gun, she pulled the receiver back on the gun to load it. Yet she let the gun down when she saw that Claire was the owner fo the footsteps. You seem a bit jumpy said David softly, slightly shocking Jill because she didn’t realize that David was awake. Sorry Jill sheepishly replied, kinda of a bad habit that I  picked up in Raccoon. Fair enough said David, just don’t shoot our teammates. We are all suffering from cabin fever and are probably a bit jittery for some action. Jill agreed that cabin fever had set in a bit and she was not one to take to it lightly.  I need to get out of here she thought top herself, I need a really big break. Maybe she thought, I could get a break in this afternoon. There really isn’t much let to do and I bet john will love me if I bring back some peppers.  Well if Im going to try to leave for a break, then I need to finish this cleaning and ask David.
Jill quickened her pace up a bit and finished the pistol. Hey David ,asked Jill in a sly voice. You mind that if I go out for a bit? What do you mean he replied?
Oh nothing much, I was just wondering if I could go for a break outside and explore around the city. I’ve been cooped up here way too much and really need a break. Sure said David, I really don’t mind. You are an adult and a damn fine one I might add. Actually no pun was meant there, yet it was funny.  You took care of yourself in Raccoon, so I think you can survive London. Yeeesss Jill yipped with glee! Yet I need you to pick up some things said David, quickly cutting her yip of joy short.  Since we have eight grown people here, we go through groceries like nothing, I just need you to pick up so basics so we can restock the fridge. Ok replied Jill, write me up a list and I’ll pick it up.
Pick what up asked a puzzled Claire as she walked back into the room? She had added to her attire a an old worn leather jacket that had been Chris’s at one time. “Made in Heaven”, quoted the Heavenly goddess on the back of the jacket. Jill thought to where Chris had said he had bought the jacket before. The jacket looked as though it had been an old Air Force issue and looked the age. Oh nothing much replied Jill, just going out to stretch my legs and get some groceries.
Oh, that sounds nice Claire answered. So David has you on grub dutie today. Well said Jill, as she walked over to Claire. Leon had promised me lunch a while back and Im taking him up on it now, said Claire. You want to join us? Sure said Jill, then we can all wander around a bit. But I don’t want to be a nuisance at you lunch date. Claire somewhat hesitated her movement on the steps after hearing Jills reply on to the question. Date, Leon’s just taking me out for lunch.  Right said Jill, with sarcasm dripping from her tone of voice. So your going to just say that Leon is also  a good friend as well, right? Right said Claire, just a friend. Besides I don’t have time for a relationship now. But to change the subject, you need to change. Jill looked herself over and forgot that she was wearing improper clothing for this time of year. After all it was January and she had on some long shorts  and her STARS t-shirt. Well I guess your right, yet we talk about this later said Jill. Ok, whatever replied Claire as she continued down the stairs. I’d  hurry up changing, because Leon and I are leaving after I he ask’s Chris something.
Hint taken said Jill. Give me five minutes and I’ll be downstair. Ok said Claire and If your late, lunch is on you.  Claire walked down the stairs giggling with childish glee, almost taunting Jill to hurry. Jill ran across the room and surprised David by leaping over the small coffee table. After skidding through thee hall, Jill finally made it into the larger of the rooms. This room was shared by her, Rebecca, and Claire. The room was one of the larger rooms in the upstairs of the building and had a fair amount of space for all of them. As she entered the room, she made sure that she shut the door and went over to her side of the room. As she quickly hurried through her bag of clothes, she hummed an old song her dad Dick has sang to her when she was a child. It was often played around Christmas, yet was one of their favorites. Blue Christmas, yeah that was the tune. Her Dad had sung it to her because it had been her mothers favorite song as well.
Jill as she walked throughout the room she pondered the thought of what was to come.  Where they would be in t he next few months and was this all worth it. That’s enough thinking for now Jilly, she thought to herself. So in taking her own hint, she quickly headed down the stairs.” Fun here I come”.
When she had finished changing,     she shut the door and ran back by David. Here is the list said
David, and you behave yourself. I will say Jill; its all the others you will have to worry about.
