My submission for the MarchMadness challenge.
Was struggling to decide on a team, then I remembered playing a game as a kid (forgot the name) that had a cool penguin in it. I took inspiration from that, not sure how close I am to the original design though.
I added the background in canva to make it easier for the eye, staring at just pixels on a white background kinda hurt.
Im also working on another pixelart of a human in higher resolution.
However this little penguin with woodlegs (he lost both legs in war, poor guy) already took me ages - first time I ever did such a thing without AI.
I even tried to add „shadows“ and „lighting“ to it
Since I’ll have very little time the next days, I urgently wanted to get at least one badge.
Hope you like it, I’ll definitely give this guy out for abortion uhhh I mean adoption.

p.s: in case anyone ever adopts him, please treat him well.
And no matter whatever he tells you..

… he CANNOT speak, it’s just an image, go see a doctor.
