Come one,they put a characther with legacy in Nintendo and recent downfalls(R.I.P Shoji Mizuno) as an assist but they put a Piranha plant as a fighter?!
But i have to admit it,at least its better than my headcannon(note:it isnt the SBR one,its the ,original Bomberman" but with some downfalls in his life like Peter B.Parker),which basically is about the typical,Smash is Trash,Ultimate sucks,Friendship ended with Mario now Arle Nadja(because both returned in a simple design,overall its just an example and not my own canon)is my best friend,you get me at this point,basically the one that isnt the SBR or my own version of the characther.

If only Bomberman was playable. I thought it would have been pretty cool to have him as an actual fighter rather than an assist trophy.Β It would have also been interesting for Bomberman's alts to be the other Bomberman Bros. from Super Bomberman R, similar to Bowser Jr. & the Koopalings. But oh well, maybe next time. Amazing comic BTW.

Bomberman shouldn't feel sad. Being an assist trophy is more than an honor in the world of Smash.
Just the idea of him appearing alongside some of gamings greatest characters is wonderful. Being an assist trophy may not be as cool as being a playable character, but it's definitely a huge achievement in my eyes.
