Well it is a very nice piece of artwork, you can clearly tell this character is a girl! The lines drawn are very neat, coloring a great, etc. ;D
I would caution you on one thing though, some lines are a bit "boxed" like at the top of the head! I wouldnt say it is a big deal or anything just hair usually isn't boxed, it is a more of a round bump at the top. <3
Overall great vision, really clear & easy to tell gender.

I wouldnt say it was original since there are tons of girl ocs out there, BUT your drawing style is very original. x3
I've seen tons (in fact) thousands of artists try to do the Japanese way but add their own style to it, most didnt get the effect they wanted. ^w^
If I may add, the feet seem quite odd to me. It seems like you made them a bit smaller than the body. If it is a certain perspective the drawing has then ignore but, feet are usually the same size as the body itself so that it can balance it. Smaller feet than the body isnt the brightest idea to have. :/

Ah, technique, where to start:
First off, your shading (in some spaces) seems out of character. Like the elbow & skin shading. You picked pink to shade it, although it seems that peachy pink looks like skin color it isnt. Skin color is soft orange. The coloring to that is a bit odd. ;v;
Second, the mouth. Now it seems out of proportion with the rest of the body. It seems a bit too small. If it is perspective then ignore. ;w;
I also find the eyes weird but then again her heads tilted so I would pass on that. Overall shading is great, try to add more shading on the clothing since clothing isnt 2D, its 3D. some more shine in the hair & more shading would make it look great. Cx
Its kinda weird since the eyes have a great shade to them and yet the whole character seems to lack it, so it looks like an unbalance of great to okay. o.o

It didnt really impact me to an extent that I would say "WOW great art piece"
Like for me, I like artwork that has awesome shading or pastel colored, realistic anime & photographs. So this isnt my taste per say.
There wasnt that emotion jolt that anime shows.
Most Anime artists dont add that cuz its too hard but it leaves a great impression.
if you want an example check out SAO (sword art online) AOT (attack on Titan) and OP (one Piece)
There are some flaws to it, but that comes with growth! ;D

I must improve more quickly!! lol because there are so many eye tutorials I look at so many then its like the eye is like different to the rest of the girl...yer I find it hard to draw chibis with a very complicated pose or expression but im sure I will improve very much after reading ur critique!! lol you do not need to improve so quick xD It took me a year to improve from basic shapes to actual better bodys x3
I have some great artists that do chibis that can st a good example if you want some pics for refs. :3
In general the Japanese styles are really complex, I find that also ;w; It all goes down to emotional impact. Take an average happy pic of a character, in Japanese art they have "over the top" emotions, and it is quite awesome ;D
The very difficult poses, try drawing some with Front view, then back view, then side, then side it should help you with the whole "3D" visual of basic posing. Then try to explore more c:
Expression is quite hard, I have a tough time getting the anatomy of the face wrong, usually on the nose or mouths. I suggest to use a measuring utensil (im sure they have it on programs) and divide the face into 4ths, then do the eyes & nose, then make the mouth bigger than the space provided.
Dont worry, I am improving too xD I sound like I did this before but really i didnt xP its tips that other DA members gave me & it really helps :3
Oh one more thing, try doing one pose every week, draw it until you feel like you got it, then try it with a character added. c;
