Description
It's a bit abstract ... but drawn with automatic techniques ... Hb and 2B graphite on HP watercolour paper ... about 34 x 24 cmAs I was drawing the title developed too ...

It keeps staring at me. Or is it the other way around?

I drew it the other way round, you are staring through it! Though whether this is your eye or someone else's is not clear ...

... When I can find it again on DA ... here's hoping the person that had it done hasn't already left ... If you come across it on your tattoo travels I would very much appreciate you sending me the link!

wow, that is amazing! I so love your style and I love the idea behind it. Must've been a pain in the ass to draw. I wonder what you mean by "automatic techniques"? Did you use kind of a mask for the background?

Thank you!
I originally had a vague composition in mind to start with ... (it is based on the smallest neural net that will give a reliable boolean AND/OR gate) ... but I let the details draw themselves ... especially the background areas ... I let them become what they wanted to be without me having much conscious control... if you know what I mean. (I kind of made rules on how the pencil should move and then let the drawing go where it wanted to go). No masks were involved

You do some wonderful things with a pencil...as for my interpretation: I see the center as one singular 'thought' and the emanating 'tendrils' as the many different paths that thought can take...just as in learning and cognition.
A beautiful piece, even without any title or meaning.

I dig it, in a purely aesthetic and superficial level, i refuse to contemplate this image any more as you suggest i do, as I need to believe that my free-will is intact.
So i say it means nothing!
awesome technique you got crankin' mate! I like the level of iteration as the neuron connections become ever more complex and the background seems almost a texture, yet you still see the 'web' of connections. Amazing detail!
...alright I already thought about it anyway, may as well share this thought...
