Description
Finaly got around to finnishing/redoing this piece, changed the sky, added a more realistic light source. Brought the guy in the foreground out a bit. Also added some shafts of light peeking through the wood in the distance, a few other minor tweaks. Thanks to everyone who added feedback, very much appreciated.

splendid! It's amazing how you are able to place multiple feelings into this picture....and not only this one...but all of your pictures. I can only wish I had the type of talent you have....but wishes are wishes right?

Your art is just amazing. I could only wish that I had your creativity. The changes you made to this piece changes it from great to incredable. Do you use any photography in you art or is it all digital painting?

thanks and a bit of both, depends on the look I'm after, allot of the work is digital painting but not on the imagery more on the effects of depth, foreground/background tones ect. Dust, light and all that.

Thanks ... allot of ppl dont want to give up their methods. THe reason I asked is digital painting is something I want to get into more. I have done some but not to the degree that you have and you do it so well.

yeah I think there's still a stigmata about manipulation vs digital painting as 'cheating' by a weird few. As a whole the digital art industry has been using various manipulation techniques for years ( Steve Stone as a prime example of a great artist using photo manip ) it was the same scenario with digital painting vs. traditional when it first surfaced and now 99% of traditional artists work digitally, Matt painting for example and some of the style of work of matt artist's is just mind blowingly good. I apply similar matt techniques to a digital painting style then combine them both, works for what I need at the moment. at end of the the day if u have a strong idea and concept that will always shine through .

This is a fine piece of art.
Great colours and shape. Ilike the way everything flows outward from the centre column. The shapes of the figures are well done too.
