A little experiment I did today with type, texture and concept. The BP Oil Spill has been on my mind a lot lately, so I've been doodling things and playing around on the computer with my programs.

The first thing people are probably going to say is "it's dark" and I need to say immediately that that is the point. Oil slick isn't clean, clear or bright. It is a putrid, dark pollutant. Yeah, I've said before that my digital style seems to be a bit more dark that normal, but I set out to make this dark from the start.

I tried to make the graphic as simple as possible. That's why there's only 3 graphic parts - texture, type and silhouettes of a school of fish. I used my own textures and *changeweaver 's stock watercolour paper (Found here: [link] ).
