"All right," I thought, "What is a tower? Why do people have towers? What is a tower for?"

Well, towers are for early warning, for defence, and for exerting authority. The communications aspect of towers usually had more to do with early warning than anything else.

So the natural thing that came to mind was a gun tower from a prison.

I coloured the top red because red is the danger colour and what's more dangerous than a machine gun? It is only now as I type this that I realize the phallic effect this has on the picture...
