Description A Mondegreen is a misheard line from a song or poem.

For decades I thought "The Christmas Song" said: "And tiny tots with their eyes on the globe will find it hard to sleep tonight." I figured they were looking at a globe trying to figure out Santa's route. It was only a year or two ago that I realized it said "...tiny tots with their eyes all aglow...." Bill Bison is singing what I thought it was.

John Paul Googoo, on the other hand, is singing a parody of "While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night". The only verse of the parody I know goes like this:

While shepherds washed their socks by night
And hung them on the line,
An angel of the Lord came down
And said, "Those socks are mine!"

Alfie the Rat is singing "The Little Drummer Boy", but he has never known the line after "Mary nodded". It just sounded like a big jumble to him, so he's singing something that sounds like what he always hears after "Mary nodded", not realizing that the actual words are "The ox and lamb kept time".
