First off, thank you for visiting my page.
Second. That's a very different looking tree. I can't say I've ever seen anything quite like it. It's amazing, sometimes, how so much of this world and its life can sometimes still seem so alien, despite all that we as humans have discovered, analyzed, and learned. I'm sure this tree species has already been catalogued and studied, but it's still something I've never seen in my entire life.
The photo is very well taken, as well. I don't know much about photography, but what I can say is that the shot, in my eyes anyways, is very well composed, and is very appealing to to my eyes. It really gives me a lot to look at and study.
Great photo. And a very interesting tree species.

It may be a type of sycamore (judging by the bark), but I couldn't say for certain.
