Description Chapter Three: Boiling Point

Science class was probably one of the most normal classes in our school. The class I have been attending was laid out in a typical class room display with two rows of desks with four desks long, two students to a desk. Each black, fire resistant table was divided in half for the two work stations with duplicate materials on each side and one Bunsen burner that was located in the middle of every desk. Today, our desks were laid out with a small cube of metal, a mold, and an unusual beaker made out of stone. As I rushed into class late, I noticed most of the class had already started working on the assignment Mrs. Jessica was writing on the board.
I just have to sneak past her to my desk,
"Mr. Warfield, you're late. This is the third time, if you are late once more I'll have to assign lunch clean up duty." She warned after catching me with her super hearing.
I ignored the comment and hurried to my seat, right next to a very drenched parter.
"Tim, you have to stop using your powers so ofter, your soaked."
"Hey! It wasn't my fault this time. Ryan gave me a swirly."
"Again? Sorry man, it's because I collapsed the building on him that he takes on you guys so much."
"No forget it, it's fine. Say, there's a new girl supposed to be coming around, know anything about that?"
"Yeah, met her earlier. She's my," I paused thinking about what happened a few minuets before, "my friend.. I know her from back home."
     "What's her power?"
"Static fields, they have the strangest feeling ever."
"Cool. Say, you can manipulate metal right," Tim started, obviously seeing a chance to amuse the class.
"What do you want me to do this time?" I asked, a little irritated of being used as his primary tool for disturbing the class.
"Nothing big deal, just since we are molding rings and all, maybe you could make an engraving in my rings for me."
     I'm going to regret this.
"Just engrave F U for me, that's all."
I stifled a laugh, trying not to get in trouble. Mrs. Jessica was nice, but if she caught you disturbing the class too much she won't hesitate to send you to the Professor.
     "Okay, sounds good," I lied.
"Miller, Warfield, get to work, you're both behind the class, stop chatting." Mr. Jessica promptly scolded. "We have already started melting the adamantium, you have to be extra careful because once this stuff re-solidifies, we won't be able to melt it again."
We knew we shouldn't push it, so Tim turned on the burner and I put the cubes in. It didn't take long for them to melt, we had very efficient burners. When it came time to pour, I used all my focus to try and make the engraving in the rings that I wanted. The rings actually hardened just as fast as they melted, and didn't take long before Mrs. Jessica was walking around checking our work. Tim had some trouble with his, so he couldn't take his out until just as she arrived at our desk. Mrs. Jessica picked his up, read them, and looked at me smiling.
"Mr. Miller, would you please read what is written on your rings."
Tim looked up in surprise; Mrs. Jessica never let him disrupt the class. He then preced to pick up the rings and read them out loud without thinking.
"They say, I am an idiot."
The class erupted laughing, so loud that no one could hear Tim's protests.
"Alright, enough fun. Quite up." Mrs. Jessica told the class, after she stopped laughing herself. She then picked up mine and held them nest to each other.
"Aw, that's sweet Stanly." With that, she walked on to the next table. I looked down and picked up my rings. One had I < on it, the second had 3 U. Noticing the confused face on my parter, I put them together and showed him what they read.
I <3 U

"Haha, who's that for?" he teased.
"No one," I said, quickly putting the two rings in my pocket.
"Uh hu, right. I bet it's for the new-"
The bell rang [How should I narrate that? Ding, Dong just doesn't seam right, but I don't like the way I have it right now either...], cutting him off.
Just in time, I thought to myself.
"I'll see you later," I said, rushing out the door. I was about head towards Amy's class down the hall, but when I looked over there I saw Mari there, already talking with Amy. Out of a sudden moment of fear, I rushed off in the opposite direction.
     What am I doing...?
