Description
This piece was in weird progress for quite a while. It began with a heavy textured painting I made 2 years ago for one of my classes, even then I repainted it 2 times and wasn't happy with it. I found the amount of texture to be overwhelming and taking over the image. I ripped everything I could off (it was mostly different types of paper mixed with drywall) and coated it gesso and gave it some other texture with modeling paste. Over the next 2 months I was just covering what I could with left over paint from my students or from my other paintings, not knowing what I want it to look like or where I was going with it. When it finally started to look like something, I sat down and worked on it non stop for good 5 hours and this is the end result which I'm quite happy with. =]Mixed media on 20x24" / 51x61 cm stretched canvas.

Reminiscent of Kandinsky. I love it. Very good composition and texture.

Great! It's a bit different from most of your art, less circle based and somehow things strive from the center towards the edges instead whirling around...
I welcome this "twist"

I feel that it's somewhat of the merge between my early oil works and the recent acrylic circly works, glad you like it =]

I'm not into abstract but this is a beautiful eye soothing work! Coloring is just very well done.

I want candy after looking at this But you can tell this was definitely thrown together with no real thought or pattern in mind. Not in a bad way of course! Sometimes my paintings come out the same way. I start with an idea and it just evolves into something completely different
