Description Hi everyone,

This is my newest coin design.

Since its subject matter is a little different to what I usually do, I thought I'd ask you all for feedback and interest in buying this coin.

It would probably make a good gift for your bio teacher or a biologist. XD

As a hobby, I enjoy reading up on animals, and for a few years I read up on evolution and related sciences.
As it made quite an impact on me (sad to say, I never took Biology in school), I thought to design a coin based on it.

So on the front is a circular phylogenetic tree, with various species represented under the lines.
On the back is a quote from Darwin, together with 14 of his Galapagos finches.

Thanks to for the tree and for help in checking and suggestions for the animals.

This is absolutely brilliant and beautiful, and I would love to get one of these for myself. I don't like red, though - what are the other colours this will be available in?
Really, this is a gorgeous and special idea and well performed, I really am looking forward to get one.

Hi there,

Shipping is usd$4 and if you want tracking, it's an additional $3.
The coin is solid metal and will come in a little coin pvc bag and bubblewrapped. There's not much chance of it being damaged.
Shipping takes 2-3 weeks to reach the US.

Yes, I take paypal.

That said, the coins will only be up for sale about a month later, as they are still being minted.
When they are ready, I will post an image of all the available colors and links and info on my DA journal.

I'd love to get that for my old bio teacher! Hands down was my favorite class and my fav teacher throughout my entire high school experience!! I remember him teaching us about Darwin and his finches too

I hope you do not take an offence my dear Sandara but, Charles Darwin was an ignorant bigot and all those who follow his floored theories like a religion.

Every species on this planet has been intelligently designed for a specific purpose by highly advanced civilization who seeded this planet more than 25.000 years ago.

evolution is a fraud because youd have to evolve in such a way every slight change could also help them survive the billion years untill it became the upgrade.. still a cool coin...... do you make by hand or are they copyable?

There is quite a lot of proof on evolution, the fact was neanderthals heads were larger and bodies stockier which is ideal for colder climates.Β  Not just that their brains were significantly smaller than modern day human's brains, that is evolution. Β  Obviously evolution is not perfect and species go extinct from that, or from natural selection, or too many predators, or even a drought.Β  There are a lot of factors involved in evolving.Β

*I believe in Science But evolution is not factoring in all the new studys on how complicated DNA really is, I mean Its honestly as oversimplified as religion to me, But Im also not willing to jump ship to religion for it. and Yea In addition theres been studys showing both you cant make a new species naturally and the fact history shows no new evolved form of an animal has ever existed. you cant make a pony from a carrot.*
