!Hi all.
This is my latest work. It is a actual 3D object, a bit post-pro for better colours etc, but it is just one render, not two renders combined or so. It is modelled and rendered with Blender 2.41 and post-processed with Photoshop. It is based on the litho Up and Down by M.C. Escher. C&C is highly appreciated.

I'm a bit of an Escher fan - went to an exhibition a few years back (which included the original of this) and was completely won over by the man's talent and vision. I'm impressed that you've undertaken to do a 3D version and even more so that you've done it so nicely. I'm sure he would have been happy to see this!

this is totally mad... however I think the palm trees are letting you down... Something about them looking a little too "lego"ish.. and also I think the smaller (or further.. whatever) is too top-heavy... I'm not really sure how to explain it, but, basically, they were distracting me and spoiling the render for me
Still awesome work, though. I'd be fascinated in reading up on a tutorial describing how you made it.

This is incredibly creepy. I actually have the Escher print above my computer. I'm tripping out being able to compare the two. One on the computer and one on my wall. Nice work. I'm truly impressed.
