May I ask what the manip is in this photo? because it is stunning to look at.

Well, it wasn't manipulated in Photoshop :] (only frame is made in PS). I've done it in iPhoto (OS X). But the main trick was using here levels, so the character is almost black. A bit of blur on the edges. Before turning in b&w I used sepia. It looks the way it looks because it was shot in the fog and original isn't as good as this.
