Been a while since I've been here. Dropping off a Gouf Ignited (Gundam Seed Destiny). Got loads of "Gundam" suits but not much on regular mobile suits. Stuff needs to explode and so here's one that should. The full image is wider but I planned to use it in the website when it gets finished so I cut it down.The mass produced versions are a Blue based, but this one is a "custom" Orange color.
This mesh is based off of a small plastic model of the same name. The layout remains very similar to the original but some parts (arms and legs especially) are restyled. The arms bear a passing resmblence to the Zaku F2 and Gouf Custom while the lower legs are widened and have an extra booster in the inner part of the leg. The skeleton is based mostly off of the Zaku F2.
Software: Lightwave 3d(Modelling,Rendering), Photoshop (UV textures, planar textures, post process).
PS: The sword was supposed to render brighter.... I'll figure that one out.

You seriously need to make some kind of "after-market" decal that says something like, "T.M.R. Hydrolics" or "Nishikawa Verniers" or something. I mean, c'mon, if we're gonna have an obvious "plug-in" let's make the most of it. May give casual fans a new musical interest.

Zakus have been around since the early 1980s. And there are LOTS of different kinds of Zaku MS.

my biggest issue with seed destiny was that they don't even pretend. i mean we all knew the Ginn was a Zaku but we could at least pretend. But then you get to destiny, and its the ZAKU and the Gouf. not even trying to cover it up

The original premise w/ SEED was to create a "Mobile Suit Gundam" for a new generation of fans. In terms of the MS designs although I'm sure the staff would like for them to distinguish themselves but at the same time many of them serve as modern representations of their earlier, often-revered designs. In other words it's a tribute to the legacy of their own franchise.

it hurt my brain, it may be a series ofr a next gen but it just felt very cookie cutter. all the rest pulled it off better. i think wing worked best as a gundam for the next gen

Creating an military unit from scratch using the names of the Order of the Zodiac was quite creative (hence the name, "OZ"). I agree Wing pulled it off nicely. Too bad there wasn't many other "Alternates" that worked as well.

MAN!!! Your artwork blows me away!! I wish I had the experience to do 3d images like you do!! My kids would love it too. How does one go about getting larger versions of your images? I do Vehicle wraps, and such, so printing big is my thing. I also build Gundams, and have about 20 MG's so far (they're kinda pricey for someone with a family)
I keep checkin your stuff, and so far not many people come close!!
