avatar is such a good tv series! i was rewatching some episodes and decided to draw a fanart. i'll get around to do sokka, katara, and zuko.
of course the image is copyright to me
and the tv series is copyright to nick and all of them

I agree, one of the best I've ever seen. Even if it's a comedy, the characters never loose depth and one of my favorite things is that Aang is true to himself and what he believes in 'till the very end... He represents true goodness, and I didn't really see it coming like that, but I love that about it.

this series REALLY took me by surprise. My boyfriend kept telling me that i would like it and i should give it a shot. but i was like "nooo! it looks so boring! and the characters are boring looking!"
and a few episodes i did watch i guess wasn't a good part for me to start on especially since i was very doubtful about it lol
then i was bored one day and just started from season 1 and literally marathoned all 3 seasons in 2 days. love that series.
i'm want to see the movie but i have a feeling that i'm going to hate it. its making me nervous D8

Me too! I fell exactly in the same way! Watching a few episodes on TV but I wasn't quite taken yet... and suddenly something clicked and I watched it all together in a marathon too! And I LOVED it!
I'm nervous about the movie too... I'm pretty sure I'll be dissapointed, but I can't wait to see it anyway!

you're too sweet lol but yea i think they got the actor for aang right on the dot though. i guess we'll see how he acts, since we only saw what he looks like and how he fights (the fight scenes are going to be eeppiicccc)

I agree, I'm glad to see they didn't choose some random hot kid or something like that... They are! He seems to know how to move! I'm happy with what I've seen of him so far
I'm not happy with the mix up between the water and fire nations... The water nation was supposed to be dark skinned, while the fire nation was supposed to be very white... And the director switched them without a thought... We'll see how that turns out...
Lets keep our hopes up, still!

I think the cast is ok, but it could be better. I'm REALLY glad that Zuko isn't being played by Jessie McCartney anymore. That would have been a disaster I think. >.< I guess my thing is, I'm not super familiar with most of the actors, so I don't know what they're ability is. *shrug* At least what's his face playing Aang, looks like Aang. I think they did well there.

yes i agree. when i first heard that jessie mccartney was going to be zuko i almost cried. i was going to put that movie on my shitlist along with DBZ the movie (which i also haven't seen and i'm too afraid to see) i dont want to ruin an anime i grew up with
but the cast "looks" like the characters so we'll see how the acting goes

I agree. If they do a horrible job and ruin the whole show, it will take a lot of persuasion to get some people to watch the actual cartoon. >.< I guess we don't have to worry though. If they mess the movie up, the creators will be attacked by an onslaught of Avatar fans. Lol

I saw it too! I about fell out of my chair when I saw the giant cliff, then the huge armada of fire nation ships. I was like "Oh noes! Run Aang Run!"
