Yes, I first saw the 2nd half on network TV and that was the wild part. Roo jumped the shark. I waited -and waited - for channel 11 to repeat the film, but they never did. I spit on them now.
I now possess a DVD of the film, having earlier rented a copy from Blockbusters (now gone).
