HAH i got something done. even if it took me like.. 4 days and it's not shaded or anything. yea.drawn at Becca's while watching Jumper, which is a terrible movie despite the fact that teleportation is pretty damn neat. and apparently firefox doesn't' recognize teleportation as a word. go fig. i'm not sure how the subject was brought up, but it was. poor Kalaya is just trying to be normal, Cade is kickin' it old-school, and Sasha seems to feel that bathingsuits from the 1920s are still a bit too revealing. also she's probably going to try and poke at that crab, and then kick it across the beach when it pinches her.

The thing that disappointed me most about Jumper is that it's such a good concept. There was so much potential in that movie, and they just crapped it out like so much other trash.
Anyways, your drawing has gotten me on a long search for old fashioned swimwear, though, nobody could wear it like Cade, I think.

Jumper WAS horrible. Like, the teleportation (hey, your right!) animation looked awesome and all, but damn it was crappy. The girl was useless but I liked the guy he meets later though. Whatever his name was..

I came here for the laser sounds, and stayed for the picture! Adorable work, Sasha! I love when you draw this style- where the bodies are smaller than the head(not quite SD; I guess "chibi" applies here, maybe?). Something about how you drew the old bathing suits... makes me want to see more people in 'em. I dunno. Two-pieces can be sexy, but I kinda like the "more for to the imagination" with fuller suits. I'd rock a 1920's suit, I tell you what.
You have such a gorgeous, flowing line in your works! I love that it's all in pretty much flat color with subtle blushes-and-what-not's here-and-there.
Although, my favorite part HAS to be the crab with his arms all " clicky click". Pyew pyew pyew!

I totally agree that Jumper was lame. They really over-did it with the jumping effects, it got old really quick. :\
As for the pic, their bathing suits make me happy. They look kinda like the one Johnny Depp wore in that one scene in Sweeney Todd...

Meh, I thought that Jumpers was a movie that was neither terrible nor great. It was a typical Hollywood special effects with a plot as a second thought. The open endedness was just so they could easily squeeze out a shitty sequel if they ever feel the need and are short on creative writers.
The art is great, and is that a Men In Black quote that I see?
I must admit that I find the old style swim suits very odd, but no more odd than bikini's. Beside the yellow stripes on the old swim suits, I must wonder if you decided to take a slightly darker color of their individual hair in order to make the second stripe or if it just worked out that way.

You know, those outfits kinda make them look like they just escaped from prison or something. Especially Sasha's with the little tattery sleeve thing going on. I prefer vertical stripes over horizontal, though.

while trying to look up reference for those old swimsuits i found huge fat ladies in bikinis and was sad. the internet is a bad place.
she and yarrow can start a clothing line of swimsuits that cover your entire body but are not form-fitting or tight. they'll be an overnight hit.
