Can someone explain the differences of the good ending and bad ending to me? I mean purple guy does die in both but the spirits have gotten their vengeance...wouldn't they therefore be free?

in good ending the souls became free. The bad ending shows us that the souls are still locked up in animatronics' heads.

This is awesome, now you got to do a good ending with Springtrap just by himself with the empty mask around him. As if he is deserted and left to suffer by himself forever.
