That is a hard question, but if you want to practice, you can always still use a mouse, but it wouldn't turn out as good as you want. 
But, you can also try some on paper with pencils You wont have the same effects but you will still practice coloring and shading!

Well, You can right click one of the blank brush slots in sai and click what says Pen or Pencil. Whichever one shows up.
