"Come Chumvi, let me tell you a story about my father" Mufasa said as Chumvi strode beside him happily. The rest of the cubs had left early this morning and left Chumvi behind so Mufasa decided to spend the day with him. "Okay!" Chumvi said as Mufasa sat regally under a large tree. Chumvi was very fond of Mufasa, he didn't have a father of his own and Mufasa was kind enough to be a father figure to him. "The great king Ahadi had saved the Pride lands from a long hot season and there was little water, many trees died and the watering hole dried up. The animals began to get restless and thirsty some even left the Pridelands. But Ahadi asked the great kings of the past to rain down on Pride rock and bring back the watering hole, in return he promised that he would let rogue lions into his pride should they be kind." Chumvi sat mesmerized by Mufasa's tale and wanted to hear the rest, "then what happened?!" Chumvi asked with excitement. Mufasa chuckled, "Well the kings granted his wish and the next morning dark clouds covered the skies and then rain fell for 2 days and the land was able to recover. And Ahadi did as he promised and the law still remains today" Mufasa concluded. "Wow" Chumvi said. "Will I be here when Simba is king?" Chumvi asked. "I'm afraid when you're old enough you will go off and start a pride of your own, you will be your own King" Mufasa ruffled Chumvi's floppy hair. Chumvi grinned, "what about you King Mufasa? Will you still be here? You know so I can visit you?" Mufasa looked at the dark cub solemnly, "I'm afraid not Chumvi, for I will be in the stars with the other great kings of the past so that I may look down and watch over my son." Chumvi looked up at Mufasa, "you're the best king ever Mufasa." And the great king had to hold back a tear. "Thank you Chumvi, you will be a great king to someday." Mufasa saw Zazu flying in from ahead. "I must go Chumvi, go back home and be careful." And Mufasa leaped into the grass off to meet Zazu. Chumvi padded back to Pride rock, "yeah one day, I'll be a king" and he smiled the whole walk back.

Wooo, well hope you liked the little story. This is my half of my art trade with and she asked for Chumvi so I decided to draw the pic and somehow this story popped into my mind and influenced the drawing .
