Description
We were having a mental health unit in Health at school this week, and one of the topics we covered was mental health. In this class some of the things students and the teacher said kind of got on my nerves for how blunt they were i.e., making fun of a phobia or calling something like depression irrational and fake. And this kind of bred from my angst.
I tend to draw better when I have emotions to fuel me.
I just feel like you can't tell a person to get over these things like they're nothing; when battling depression, adhd, Panic disorder, or any mental thing, it's not that simple. I guess this is just me letting my opinion and emotions explode onto you. ENjoy.

Agreed. People don't understand you can't just "get over" a mental disorder. That's why depression is considered a fricken disorderΒ in the first place, if people could get over it on their own, it wouldn't have to be clinically clarified.

you are correct. i know this down to my core. this art is beautiful as are you. as for the others, the bridge to understanding begins at ignorance. they are at the beginning of their journey. many of them will understand some day what you already know.

Passion is what makes anything go from fathomable to done. The fact that your emotions are what drove you... This drawing is a clear example of that.

Some people just don't understand or appreciate the true depth of human mentality, and the power of conditions afflicting it, but that's life, eh?
To the point though, at least something good came from it. This is beautiful.

Heh, sometimes all you have to do is look. Believe me, the world is far from a perfect place. And you've got a lot of ignorant people. But if you allow your faith in your own kind to be lost, then the game's over. No matter how bad things get, you have to believe in the best. That's how we make change. The only way to lose the game is to give up.

QuQ And now I really just want to hug you. This is no where near an intellectual response, but it's an honest one. Thank you, good sir or madam. Thank you.

Honesty is more than can be asked for from most, I don't necessarily expect an intellectual response. There's a difference between knowing and understanding. I'm just glad I was able to help. Sometimes all it takes is a random act of kindness to set someone right once more.
