Chiara is a playful, bumbly, and oblivious soul by nature, and is very much a kid in all aspects. She is young at heart, and can often be found bumbling around several different towns and cities doing odd jobs and picking up and collecting odd items. She has a habit of getting into the worst sorts of trouble and the strangest situations- not that she minds, she rather seems to enjoy the weird and wacky adventures she gets into, even to the point of seeming to seek out the crazy.

She's an unbearably cheerful and helpful sort of soul who will pick up and help with the smallest and most trivial jobs. You can find her stalking about the town turning over rocks and poking her head in bushes to help fillies and colts find their lost toys, or playing hide and seek with them and their imaginary friends. You'll catch her hanging from a scaffold painting away a house in the brightest of colors, or fixing up a loose sign. She'll often help cats out of trees and help senior citizens across the street, and sit with them for some tea and knitting in her free time. She does everything and anything, and doesn't shy away from any challenge. She also seems to have trouble follow her all around, things breaking and everything turning to a mess around her at the most inopportune times, but she manages to shrug off the disaster and keep on smiling.

She tends to be a bit flighty and doesn't stick around in one place too long, and jumps from adventure to adventure. She's kind, and enthusiastic and a huge goof- but she means well and usually gets along well with others, though they not fully understand everything she is doing. Many people find her odd, and careless, and write her off as an ignorant kid who does nothing but mess around all day. This isn't entirely a lie, but she's more mature than she seems to be and can be quite in tune to important matters and act refined and mature when the moment calls for it.

In her many adventures she has had run-ins with all sorts of strange and mysterious people and creatures. These include a few curious encounters with Discord and a few Batpony colonies, as well as making friends with Timberwolves and Manticores on occasion. Chiara has become unbelievably good friends with a posh, refined mare by the name of Umbraclara. She first encountered "Clara" when she was out searching for a stallion's lost pet turtle in the shopping district of Manehatten, eventually tracking the creature through the streets and through the throbbing crowds to the front of the Salon in which Clara was working. It was late, and Clara was cleaning things up near the mane and tail wash station when suddenly she heard a large clanging in the room. She hadn't any time to turn around before the crashing grew louder and suddenly she was soaked as the faucets burst around her. The Salon was drenched, as was she, and she was fuming as she glared down at the soaked and smiling form of the unwanted intruder, who was now holding a turtle in her hooves.Clara continued to fume as Chiara lightly taped her nose against the turtle's own and chuckled, seemingly oblivious to the fuming Pegasus above her still being drenched by the ongoing burst of water. Clara was so miffed in fact she hardly cared about the rather odd appearance of Chiara, or the pitch black of her eyes.

Chiara grinned and finally looked upward at Umbraclara, holding the turtle up as it tapped it's nose against Clara's muzzle. "Silly turtle, he likes all the water and the smells in here.... what is this place, by the way?"

Needless to say, Clara was not particularly pleased with this turn in events, and allowed herself to blow up- which is quite rare for her. She stuttered and snapped, with her wings fluffed up and face red as she grumbled on about how Chiara couldn't know where she was?! and what the hell do you think you're doing?! Why the hell is there a turtle in the Salon?! and Look! You mucked up all the faucets and sinks, do you even realize?!

Chiara simply smiled and listened to the bantering until Clara had run out of breath and steam, before rolling over and placing the turtle on her head. She offered her hoof to clean up and did so as Clara continued to fume. They parted their ways and Clara had thought that was the last she would see of Chiara- but oh was she wrong.

Chiara popped up again, and again, and again. First on the street, then at a restaurant, always in the most random of places in the most random of times. For a long while Clara thought she Chiara was doing it on purpose, but she really wasn't, it was all coincidence, but after awhile Chiara decided that if she were to be meeting this pony over and over, perhaps she ought to make an effort and get to know her. Clara was not particularly in love with the idea, and at first tried to push Chiara away, but eventually she found herself dragged into a bunch of wacky and crazy adventures in the middle of nowhere- and always with this odd, cheerful pony(?) at her side, pulling her forward into the madness and laughing all the way.

Chiara never really had anyone she spend more than a day with, and no one she managed to build a lasting relationship with, but she found it in Clara, regardless of the Pegasus' complaining. She's a great listener, and Chiara thinks she can really get Clara to open up to her, and hopes they'll become the best of best of friends, eventually. But damned if Clara is gonna make it easy, but Chi doesn't really mind. It's more fun that way.
