Alrighty, asked for a Gryphon with a dark color scheme. Someone else asked for another Gryphon with a lighter color scheme.

So, I took this as an opportunity to geek out on Heraldry a bit and use heraldic Attitude poses for them.

This one is Salient, which means it's "leaping" or "lunging", depending on if the animal is carnivorous or herbivorous, with front feet raised and both hind feet planted. I'm not sure if Gryphons are ever depicted this way in particular, but whatever, eh?

Ok, geek time over. Sorry, I just really like Heraldry.

Positively magnificent. Both your "Salient" and "Sergeant" variations are handsomely beautiful, but I think I like this one's color scheme a bit better!

Any other tantalizing tidbits you'd like to share on this one, like gender? Height/ weight? Favorite food? Sapience?

Part of the reason I love this is because the artist's comments taught me something about heraldry. Anytime I learn something about monster folklore/symbolism is a good time.
