Wow, you're so lucky. I've been wanting a pet snake, so I have to save up. Any idea how much the tank and set up cost?

I went to a couple of pet stores and shopped around. At Wal-mart (if there is one near you) they have 10 gallon fish tanks that you'd be able to use for $10, you can get cyprus mulch for between $10-$15 for a large bag that will last for a while, they will need a heating pad for under the tank which will cost between $8-$20 depending on the size of your tank, you only need a peice of drift wood or something they can hide under and crawl on which can start off at about $2 and it depends on if your snake eats baby or large mice. Mine eats frozen which is $10 a pack. Shop around for it and make a list of what you see, thats what I did. Some pet stores have better prices than department stores too. My total with snake and all was $80.00.
