Luigi defeated Armogohma. He brought Mario and Link to the Deku Tree, who healed both of them. While there Starlow asked the Deku tree about the Smash Shard. He told her yes, and that the worlds are in danger. The Deku tree foretold of a great disaster to happen upon Hyrule. Many years ago the Smash shards where used to help seal away a great evil. The evil known as Master Hand. He had the power to rule any world he wanted. However a group of heroes managed to seal him away in a another world. However a group of villains are now working together to free him. In order to counter this alliance, they must find the other heroes of there worlds who have beaten them in the past. For the worlds to be safe they must find the Smash shards, and stop Master Hand from getting free. He told Link that he must find the blade of evil's bane, the Master sword in order to protect this world.
