Description Hopefully this shows the steps a little clearer. Primarily used the chalk and default round brushes in Photoshop. Overall time 12-14 hours.

Thanks

Really fascinating. It's sort of like a photo coming into focus. I never thought to look at drawing a cityscape like that. Might need to approach it that way! I really need to do more architecture and seeing stuff like this makes me want to go draw so thanks!

Did you find yourself with a ton of references to inspire so many facades or did you just wing it as you went?

Thanks. It was a combination; I used a lot of references up front but as I went along I started to feel more comfortable with some of the panel designs so I sort of just etched them in. A lot can be implied without actually painting either which helps as you get further into the background... the details become less meaningful but you still need the noise there for continuity.

That makes sense. Thanks for the tips!

I honestly have no criticism for this piece. It's great!! Just out of curiosity, how did you create the "steps" document? Is it all done in Photoshop? I'm trying to figure out how to do my first step by step tutorial, that's why I ask.

As I was working I saved out jpegs while working in photoshop. Then I made a new document in photoshop and put all the jpegs into one long one. It was all done in photoshop, yes.

Hope that helps

Ok that's what I thought, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the info!
